Clamland Holiday Cottages: Peace and tranquillity in the heart of Cornwall.

Two thoughtfully converted granite and local slate Victorian barns in the depths of the Cornish countryside where comfort and consideration for the environment come together. The conversion has been done to high ecological standards, energy efficient appliances have been used and state of the art air source heat pumps supply both heating and hot water, both cottages make their own electricity using photovoltaic panels. The cottages are set within woodland and fields and have shared access to three acres of woods ideal for exercising the dogs!

Clamland is a ten acre smallholding centrally situated within the east of the county, some three miles south of the ancient capital of Cornwall - Launceston.  The cottages and farmhouse are centrally situated within the grounds and approached down a private road. In 2009 we converted two lovely Victorian stone and slate barns to create two holiday homes, a one bedroom and a two bedroom unit.

 

The ten acres of Clamland have been in the family for 35 years and during that time we have worked to make the holding as wildlife friendly as possible, to that end we ve planted woodlands, created ponds and planted thousands of trees, plants and seeds! None of the three houses on the site use any oil or gas, the two holiday cottages have  air source heat pumps and pv panels while the farmhouse has a biomass boiler (log or wood pellet) with PV panels and wet solar panels.
